Bracelet - Beaded broad - Gold/White

These handmade bracelets are from Mali with a feminine and unique design. It is made from fake leather and breads. With this bracelet, you can complete your outfit beautifully. These colorful bracelets are handmade by young women at Here Bugu, a community in rural Mali. They do this by wrapping old African wrap skirts, called pagnes, around dried palm leaves. The beaded pattern designed by Laura de Monchy is then strung on top. Making one bracelet can take a whole day.

Through the collaboration with Here Bugu, the women have their own income and are given the opportunity to receive additional education and training. In collaboration with Plan International Netherlands, part of the profit is spent on their education for mostly young women in developing countries. You get a beautiful product, they have a better life.
